This Privacy Policy describes how SEO Fury ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our WordPress plugin and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
SEO Fury is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information necessary to provide the Service:
- Site URL and WordPress version -- collected during license activation to verify your subscription and provide compatibility support.
- Email address -- provided voluntarily when you register for a PRO license, contact support, or subscribe to updates.
- Usage data -- anonymized, aggregated statistics about which plugin features are active. This helps us prioritize development. No personal data or site content is included.
- Support communications -- any information you provide when contacting us via email or Telegram.
SEO Fury does not collect, store, or transmit your site content, post data, visitor information, or any personal data of your site visitors.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To activate and validate PRO licenses.
- To provide technical support and respond to inquiries.
- To improve the plugin by understanding which features are most used.
- To send important product updates and security notices (you may opt out at any time).
External Services
SEO Fury may interact with the following third-party services on your behalf when their corresponding features are enabled:
- IndexNow API -- when the IndexNow feature is active, your site URLs are submitted to the IndexNow protocol (used by Bing, Yandex, and other participating search engines) to notify them of new or updated content. Only the URL of the changed page and your IndexNow API key are transmitted. No personal data is sent.
- Google Search Console / Google APIs -- if you connect Google Search Console integration, the plugin communicates with Google APIs using OAuth tokens that you authorize. Data retrieved (such as search queries and click data) is displayed only within your WordPress dashboard and is not stored on our servers.
- SEO Fury License Server -- PRO license validation requests are sent to our server at api.seo-fury.com. These requests include your site URL, license key, and WordPress version. No other data is transmitted.
Google User Data
This section describes how SEO Fury accesses, uses, stores, and shares data obtained
through Google APIs. It applies only if you choose to connect Google Search Console; the
plugin works fully without this integration.
What we request
SEO Fury requests a single, read-only scope:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly. This grants read access
to the Search Console properties you own. We request no other Google scopes, and we cannot
modify, delete, or publish anything in your Google account.
How the connection works
- You start the connection from your own WordPress admin and approve it on Google's
consent screen.
- Google redirects to our OAuth relay at
https://seo-fury.com/oauth/callback.php, which exchanges the authorization
code for access and refresh tokens. The relay exists so that our Google client secret is
never distributed inside the plugin.
- The tokens are written to a single-use temporary file on our server, retrieved once by
your WordPress site, and deleted immediately upon retrieval. Any file not
retrieved expires and is discarded within 5 minutes.
- From that point the tokens are stored in your own WordPress database, on your own
hosting, under your control.
Where your Search Console data goes
Your Search Console data is never sent to, processed by, or stored on SEO Fury
servers. Once connected, your WordPress site queries the Google API directly and
renders the results (clicks, impressions, average position, indexing status) inside your own
WordPress admin. We operate only as a token-exchange relay and hold no copy of your Search
Console data at any time.
Limited Use commitment
SEO Fury's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the
Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use
requirements. Specifically, we:
- use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features described
above, which are prominent in the plugin interface;
- do not transfer Google user data to third parties, except as necessary to provide or
improve those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or
acquisition after obtaining your explicit consent;
- do not use Google user data for serving advertisements of any kind;
- do not allow humans to read Google user data, unless we have your explicit consent for
specific items, it is necessary for security purposes or to comply with applicable law, or
the data has been aggregated and anonymised for internal operations;
- do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalised
artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Retention and deletion
We retain no Google user data. The temporary token file described above is the only Google
data that ever touches our infrastructure, and it is deleted as soon as your site collects
it, or within 5 minutes at the latest.
You can revoke SEO Fury's access at any time:
Revoking access takes effect immediately and stops all further data retrieval. If you have
any question about Google data handling, contact us at the address in the Contact section
below.
Data Storage
All SEO settings, meta data, and configuration created by the plugin are stored locally in your WordPress database. We do not maintain copies of your site data on our servers.
License and account information (email, license keys, site URLs) is stored securely on our servers with industry-standard encryption and access controls.
Cookies
The SEO Fury plugin itself does not set any cookies on your site or for your site visitors. Our marketing website (seo-fury.com) may use essential cookies for session management and analytics. No tracking cookies are used.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
- Opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
- Deactivate the plugin at any time, which stops all external data transmission.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting a notice on our website or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
